  2. No cheats, macros or mods that give you an edge.
  3. Found a bug? Report it with /report. Don't use it.
  4. Fight fair: no teaming, no throwing, no dummy farming.
  5. Keep names, signs, books and Maps clean.
  6. No ads, no selling accounts, no real-money trading.
  7. Never share your password or personal info.

Break them and you can be muted, kicked or banned.

  • Money and cosmetics have no cash value.
  • Maps you build can be featured, changed or removed.

Server Rules

BattleTown is meant to be fun, fair and safe. By playing, you agree to these rules. Staff decide what counts as breaking them, and the examples below are not a complete list.

1. RESPECT

No abusive, hateful or sexual language. No harassing, threatening or bullying anyone. This covers chat, private messages, voice chat, names, signs, books and Maps. Never threaten to dox, DDoS or hack anyone, and never share anyone's personal information.

2. FAIR PLAY

No hacked clients, macros, auto-clickers, scripts or any mod that gives you an advantage. Allowed: performance mods (Sodium, Lithium, Iris), Simple Voice Chat, minimaps without radar or cave view, and the Lunar, Feather and LabyMod clients. Not sure? Ask staff before you use it.

3. EXPLOITS AND BUGS

Don't use bugs, glitches or unintended mechanics to get ahead. Report them with /report, then A BUG.

4. MATCHES

No teaming in Free-for-All or Last Alive. No win-trading, throwing or arranging results in any game mode. No AFK play, idling or farming Money, XP or stats, including against dummies. No sabotaging your own team.

5. CONTENT

Names, skins, signs, books, item names and Creative Maps must be fine for all ages. No sexual, hateful or graphic content, and no real-world hate symbols.

6. TRADING AND ADVERTISING

Don't buy, sell, trade or share accounts. Don't trade Money, cosmetics or anything else from BattleTown for real money or outside goods. No gambling. Don't advertise other servers, websites or social media.

7. YOUR ACCOUNT

You're responsible for everything done on your account. Don't share it, and don't use another account to dodge a punishment.

8. STAFF

Don't pretend to be staff, and follow staff instructions. To report a player, use /report.

PUNISHMENTS

Depending on what happened and your history: a warning, a mute (text and voice), a kick, or a ban for 1, 7 or 30 days or forever. Staff may also remove Money, items, stats, levels or Maps gained by breaking the rules. Repeat offences are punished harder.

Terms of Service

These Terms are an agreement between you and Cameron Theoret, who runs BattleTown ("we"). They cover the BattleTown Minecraft server, its store and its community. By playing, you agree to these Terms, the Server Rules and the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't play.

1. WHO CAN PLAY

You must be at least 13. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms for you and approve any purchase. You need a genuine Minecraft: Java Edition account.

2. ALPHA

BattleTown is still being built. Features may change, break or disappear. Progress, Money, levels, ranks, stats, cosmetics and Maps may be reset or lost, for example in a wipe. We'll try to warn you before a planned wipe, but we can't promise to.

3. YOUR LICENCE

We let you use BattleTown for your own fun, under these Terms. It's personal and can't be transferred, and we can end it if you break these Terms or the Rules.

4. VIRTUAL ITEMS AND PURCHASES

Money, cosmetics, Class Collections, XP Boosts, levels and every other in-game item are licensed to you, not owned. They have no real-world value and can't be sold, traded, transferred or cashed out. We may change, rebalance, rename or remove them at any time, even after you've bought them.

Payments are handled by Tebex, whose terms also apply. We never see your card details. All purchases are final and non-refundable, except where the law requires a refund. If something you bought never arrives, contact us and we'll deliver it or refund it. Charging back or disputing a payment gets your account banned and removes what you bought.

5. YOUR CONTENT

You keep ownership of what you build. By building a Map or posting anything on BattleTown, you give us a free, worldwide, permanent licence to host, copy, edit, show, feature, put into rotation and remove it, with your name on it.

Map royalties and other rewards are paid in in-game Money only, and we may change or stop them. Don't build or post anything you don't have the right to use. We may remove any content at any time.

6. CONDUCT

Follow the Server Rules. Don't attack, overload or disrupt BattleTown, try to get into accounts or systems that aren't yours, or copy or reverse-engineer the game.

7. BANS AND ENDING ACCESS

We may mute, kick, suspend or ban any account, or shut BattleTown down, at any time, with or without warning. If your access ends, you lose your items and progress, with no refund unless the law requires one.

8. NO WARRANTY

BattleTown is provided "as is". We don't promise it will always be online, error-free or secure, or that progress won't be lost.

9. LIMIT OF LIABILITY

As far as the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses, or for lost data, progress or items. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 6 months before the claim.

10. CHANGES

We may update these Terms. When we do, BattleTown will ask you to agree again before you play.

11. NOT MOJANG

BattleTown is not an official Minecraft product. It is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft.

12. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

Privacy Policy

This explains what BattleTown keeps about you, why, and what you can do about it.

WHAT WE KEEP

Your Minecraft name and UUID, to know who you are and save your progress.

Your IP address, when you join or download the resource pack, for security, bans and stopping attacks.

Your chat messages and commands, kept in server logs, for moderation and reports.

WHAT WE KEEP (CONTINUED)

What you build on Maps, so Maps can be reviewed and shared.

Your gameplay: matches, kills, stats, playtime, Money, cosmetics and levels, to run the game, leaderboards and balance.

Reports and bug reports from you or about you, for moderation and fixing bugs.

Anti-cheat signals (GrimAC), to catch cheating.

Purchase records from Tebex: what you bought, when, and the transaction ID, to deliver it and handle disputes.

VOICE CHAT

BattleTown uses Simple Voice Chat. Voice goes live to nearby players and is not recorded or stored by us.

WHAT WE DON'T KEEP

We never see your card details: Tebex handles payment. We don't ask for your real name, email or location in game.

WHO WE SHARE IT WITH

Tebex for payments, Bloom.host, which runs the server in the United States, and the police if the law requires it. We don't sell your data.

HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

Server and chat logs: 90 days. Account and game data: while your account exists. Punishment records: as long as needed to enforce bans.

CHILDREN

BattleTown is for players aged 13 and up. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you think a child under 13 has played, contact us and we'll delete their data.

YOUR RIGHTS

You can ask to see or delete your data at battletowntm@gmail.com. We may keep some records, like bans and purchases, where safety or the law needs them. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights.

CHANGES

We'll update this policy in game and ask you to agree again.

THIS WEBSITE

battletown.store is a plain website hosted on GitHub Pages. It sets no cookies and has no ads or trackers. GitHub may log your IP address when you visit, to run and protect its service.

The home page asks mcsrvstat.us, a public server-status service, whether the BattleTown server is online, so your browser contacts that service when you visit it.

The Store page talks to Tebex to show what's for sale and to keep your basket. It sends Tebex the Minecraft name you type there, and your browser remembers that name and your basket on your own device. Payment happens on Tebex's checkout, under Tebex's own terms and privacy policy.

If you turn on the music, your browser remembers that for the rest of your visit. Music never plays until you tap it.
